The char Dhams include Badrinath, Dwarka, Puri and Rameswaram. The belief is that each Hindu must go to the Char Dhams at least once in their lifetime.

Char Dham Yatra can be started from Haridwar, Delhi, Rishikesh, and Dehradun. Haridwar railway station is the nearest railway station to these holy places. Haridwar is well connected to Delhi and other major cities through road and rail networks.
