It was 1411 when the city’s founding father, in Ahmedabad, Sultan Ahmad Shah constructed Bhadra Fort. It is a popular tourist destination today; the fort is home to numerous different stories inside its wall. It has a temple named, BhadraKali Temple, which gave the fort its name.
Legends tell that goddess Lakshmi when she entered the fort to bestow her blessing upon the Muslim Sultan to ensure that the city would always be blessed with prosperity. The impressive fort is surrounded by a large courtyard that is surrounded by lush green lawns as well as several palaces.
